The Truth About Chicken and Fish

I am not a vegan, but do try to avoid factory farmed chickens (Tyson, e.g.) and farm-raised fish.  This article may persuade those of you who care about animal welfare to seek out the best way to avoid buying these irresponsible products from big FOOD.  Look for the Certified Humanely Raised and Handled Label – it’s often hard find on packaged poultry and/or eggs.

Certified Humane Raised and Handled Means:

  • Animals have ample space, shelter and gentle handling to limit stress.
  • Animals have access to ample fresh water and a healthy diet of quality feed, without added antibiotics or hormones.
  • Cages, crates and tie stalls are among the forbidden practices, and animals must be free to do what comes naturally.  For example, chickens are ale to flap their wings and dust bathe, and pigs have the space to move around and root.

The article linked here is pretty graphic, but being aware of where our food actually comes needs to be stressed more often.

  1. I am not a vegetarian however I do believe that all animals, plants, elements have a purpose in the whole earth chemical need for health. All other Eco systems need to be protected to a certain degree and their freedom to keep the human Eco system healthy. Technology now provides a way without government using animals for human GPS experiments and street shows.

Any life that produces electrolytes must have chemical balance. Otherwise we get changes in weather that are not dependable. We are all responsible to keep the earths global electrolyte balance healthy.
