“Eat A Healthy Diet”?

Take the quiz on Facebook (link is in the article) to find out if you’re at risk for diabetes type 2.  The problem is that most advice to prevent this disease includes “eat a healthy diet”.  And that’s something that has not yet been determined, in my opinion.  There are two sides – the low-fat, moderate carbohydrate diet or the low carbohydrate, high protein diet (which tends to be higher in fat).  Conventional wisdom has been the low-fat, but some compelling research is pointing to a lower carbohydrate intake.  Stay tuned.
