The photos tell the story.  They put our typical U.S. school lunch to shame.  But this is a complicated issue.  Read the Comments section to get a more realistic picture of what school lunch providers face when trying to offer healthier choices.  Our kids often reject healthier foods  because they have never been encouraged to eat them at home and are so used to fast food, snacks, and the products of the Standard American Diet (SAD). They have been exposed to advertising from BIG FOOD; the jury is still out on whether these highly processed foods are actually addictive.  Check out a previous post HERE.
