Diet and nutrition research is already plagued by biases and funding by food companies. This article is funny yet sad. It’s hard to believe that there are scams out there that would dare to do what they do. If you have nothing better to do, read the article that was submitted – you only have to read the first paragraph to realize the nonsense. It’s apparent that nobody actually reads these manuscripts (so much for peer review) but for a fee will publish them. Nutrition research is often submitted to these journals called “predatory publishers” and the danger is exacerbated by eager scientists or companies desperate to get something published or sell their latest bogus product.
