An informative article on the kinds of salmon available in the supermarket.  Price matters since farm-raised salmon is most always less expensive than wild-caught.  I often buy frozen salmon or shrimp since it may be fresher than the fish found in the case.  When I ask about how long they keep thawed fish in the pan at the supermarket, the consensus that I get is that often those fish are kept for about two days.  I’m sure they are very safe, but it is a personal preference. It’s time to get our diets back on track –  don’t forget salmon which are easy to prepare, loaded with healthy fats (omega-3) and a great protein source.
