Research suggests that  controlling body weight is harder to do when consuming liquid calories rather than when consuming solid food. Sugar sweetened beverages are often to blame for the rising tide of obesity, diabetes and dental problems.  Sugar taxes on soda consumption is being tried in many large cities. However there are other ways to help cut down consumer intake.
