A Bacterial Superbug

They are everywhere and where would we be without them?  The rich diversity of microbes (bacteria, fungi, algae, and protozoa) are present in nearly every environment and habitat on Earth. They survive in Antarctica, on top of Mount Everest, near thermal vents in the deepest seas. They make up about two thirds of Earth’s living material. They colonize our skin, mouth, nose and throat and digestive tract. Good news: most are benign and beneficial with only a few considered pathogenic (causing infectious diseases.)
